Funeral Partners invest £2.4m in new vehicles

Funeral Partners, the third largest funeral company in the UK, is investing more than £2.4 million in new vehicles for its funeral homes as part of an ongoing investment programme to upgrade funeral vehicles ahead of its expansion plans.
To reflect the heritage and values of the various businesses operated by Funeral Partners, Ford Mondeo and Jaguar hearses and limousines have been selected as well as Ford ambulances and first call vehicles, all sourced from specialist suppliers.
Among the branches to receive new vehicles are Payne & Sons Funeral Directors in Eastbourne, which has taken delivery of its new Mondeo hearse and limousine.
Richard Schacht, Funeral Partners Area Development Manager for Sussex, said: “It is vital we keep our car fleet up to date and with 170 funerals a year at Payne & Sons, we felt it was important to have vehicles which provide the best service possible to the communities we support.”
Funeral Partners Fleet Manager Terry Jarvis said: “The Ford Mondeo ticks all of the boxes for us as not only do we believe they are the most economical vehicle on the market today in terms of their whole life cost but they are also designed and built to the highest standard while providing a safe and comfortable environment for our families and colleagues.”
Peter Potter, Area Sales Manager for Southern England and Wales at Coleman Milne, which supplied some of the vehicles, said: “We are pleased to have supplied Payne &Sons with their new vehicles. We have a strong relationship with Funeral Partners and trust that Payne & Sons will be very happy with the Norwood Hearse and Rosedale Limousine.”
