Funeral Partners are pleased to announce the acquisition of W. Storey Funeral Service of Guisborough, North Yorkshire.
William Storey served his apprenticeship with J.J. Pybus Joiners and Undertakers in Westgate Guisborough. In 1927 he left J.J. Pybus to start his own business as a Joiner, Wheelwright and Undertaker in premises at the rear of Bennison Street, Guisborough. In 1934 he moved to 18 – 20 Redcar Road, Guisborough which became the family home and business premises.
Ian Storey has retirement plans, but we are pleased that his capable team are all staying with the business ensuring continuity of care for families and the wider community.”
Ian Storey joined the business when upon leaving school in 1969 and in 1984 both Ian and his father John gained their Diplomas in Funeral Directing.
In 1999 John retired leaving Ian to continue, with the assistance of wife Sharon and son John who became the fourth generation to work in the business.
