Woking-based funeral company, Woking Funeral Services, has expanded by opening a new branch in Anchor Crescent, Knaphill.
Located on the Morrisons roundabout on Goldsworth Road, the location has been chosen as a key site to serve the local community.
The brand new building has a reception, arranging room and a chapel of rest for mourners to pay their respects.
Established in 1880, the family-oriented funeral directors are now part of Funeral Partners Limited (FP), one of the largest and fast-growing funeral businesses in the UK.
FP Regional Development Director Pete Dearing said: “This is an important location for us. Everything has been designed very sympathetically with the local community in mind.
“The death of a loved one is always a difficult time and we want to ensure that our surroundings help people to cope with very emotional circumstances. Our new building will help to achieve this.”
FP Branch Development Manager James Ray said: “We look forward to working closely with local people and extending the excellent service and quality of care that we provide, to residents of Knaphill, Bisley, Westend and surrounding areas.
“Woking Funeral Services has been on Goldsworth Road since ‘time began’ in 1880 and everyone knows the business or the outside clock – which can be temperamental!
“The Knaphill office has extended the options available to the local community and now also offers disabled access to our clients, which is something we’ve been aiming to incorporate in this office for many years now.”
