Matthew Humphris wanted to share this wonderful news in his own words:
“Here at Humphris Funerals two of our colleagues have completed a shared sixty years of service, our Office Manager Jo Kehoe and Senior Funeral Director Simon Collier.
As Simon recently celebrated his thirty-year anniversary with Humphris, I thought we should acknowledge their incredible achievement.
Simon and Jo have both worked with three generations of my family and both Maurice and Martin were kind enough to offer some thoughts of theirs.
Martin Humphris said ‘When Simon started working with us 30 years ago immediately it became clear the attributes he brought. His quiet, gentle, friendly manner; his compassion and care; his humility; his attention to detail, his ability to always be there when needed by a family but at the same time not drawing attention to himself. Simon continues in every way to follow the philosophy of Humphris Funerals.’
After Joining the company at the age of just 17 Jo has adapted seamlessly to an ever-changing role taking on more responsibility. During which her professionalism, intelligence and attention-to-detail have be of invaluable service.
Both Simon and Jo have been a great support to me throughout my journey with Humphris Funerals. Having such experience to rely on has been an immense privilege.
To see the sort of loyalty they have, and continue to demonstrate, is truly humbling and so rare.
